Tyler-Parkes is pleased to announce that Solihull Metropolitan Borough Council has granted Permission in Principle for the development of up to two self and custom-build dwellings at 1817 Warwick Road, Knowle.
The decision confirms that the proposed site is acceptable in principle for residential development, recognising the site’s potential to contribute to local housing needs and to support the growing demand for self and custom-build opportunities within the borough.
Permission in Principle (PiP) establishes the acceptability of the location, land use and amount of development, with all detailed design matters to follow at the Technical Details Consent stage.
This latest approval adds to Tyler-Parkes’ strong track record of delivering successful residential schemes across Solihull and the wider region, including several self and custom-build developments that respond to both local and national policy priorities for diverse housing delivery.
Glenda Parkes, Director at Tyler-Parkes, commented:
“We are delighted with this decision, which reflects the Council’s support for well-designed, small-scale self-build schemes in sustainable village locations. This site offers an excellent opportunity to create distinctive, individually designed homes that integrate well with the local character of Knowle. We are grateful for the work of St Pauls Associates architects on this scheme”
Tyler-Parkes acted as planning consultants, preparing and submitting the application and engaging proactively with Solihull Council throughout the process.
