The Planning Inspector’s final reports on the Examination of the Coventry Local Plan and Coventry City Council City Centre Area Action Plan (CCAAP) have been received by the Council and have concluded that the plans are sound and legally compliant provided that a number of main modifications are made.

Reports recommending adoption of the CCAAP alongside the Local Plan, in accordance with the Inspector’s recommendations, have been presented to the Council’s Cabinet and Council meetings, where it was resolved that the plans would be adopted from 6th December 2017. The new plans will now form the basis for determining planning applications. The legal framework that governs development plans means that they will remain subject to a statutory 6 week legal challenge period which will run until 17th January 2018
