Tyler-Parkes is delighted to announce that planning consent has been granted for the development of a new solar field at the Farncombe Estate in Broadway.

This permission is the culmination of over two years of collaboration with Farncombe Estate, ARB Architects, and the wider technical team. Together we carefully addressed a wide range of planning considerations, including landscape and visual impact, glint and glare, archaeology, ecology, and highways.

Working constructively with Cotswold District Council throughout the process has been key to achieving a successful outcome. Once implemented, the scheme will provide a significant proportion of the Estate’s energy requirements, helping to support its long-term sustainability and reduce reliance on non-renewable energy sources.

This project represents an important step in the Estate’s commitment to environmental responsibility and reflects the growing role of renewable energy within the planning system. Tyler-Parkes is proud to have supported the Estate in bringing forward a scheme that balances technical, environmental and design challenges while delivering meaningful benefits for the future.
