Tyler Parkes has secured full planning permission on behalf of IM Group Limited for a renewable energy scheme at The Gate, International Drive, Solihull.

The approved development comprises ground-mounted solar photovoltaic panels, and associated works, forming part of the wider decarbonisation programme for The Gate campus.

The scheme covers approximately 3.72 acres and incorporates the solar array alongside battery storage, access and landscaping.

Importantly, the proposals also deliver substantial ecological enhancements. The approved Biodiversity Net Gain measures provide for a significant level of mitigation across habitat, hedgerow and watercourse

These enhancements include wildflower meadow and wetland habitats, new native hedgerows, tree planting and improvements to ditch habitats, demonstrating how renewable energy infrastructure and biodiversity improvements can be successfully integrated within the same development.
