We are very pleased to report that the planning application for a new Seclusion Suite and plant room at the Redlands Centre in Shrewsbury we submitted on behalf of our clients, the Midlands Partnership NHS Foundation Trust, has been approved, subject to conditions.

The provision of the new suite will increase the range of services available on-site thus avoiding the need to transfer residents with special care needs to other hospitals, as well as helping minimise any disruption to the other residents at the facility.

Tyler Parkes submitted the planning application, working closely with the Foundation Trust and architects Gilling Dodd, to ensure that the new extension would be sympathetic to the striking design and layout of the existing hospital.

This visualisation prepared by Gilling Dodd Architects shows the single storey seclusion unit with plant room at first floor level located between the existing Oak and Laurel Wards
