Coventry City Council are currently consulting on their ‘Design Guidance for New Residential Development’ Supplementary Planning Document (SPD).

The SPD will support Local Plan design policies by setting out what the Council considers to be good residential design. Its purpose is to provide guidance to the development industry, the Council and the public on how to ensure that the city’s future housing development has the required high quality and inclusive design to help deliver “the great place, community and future desired for Coventry”. The Guide will relate to all new residential development in the city, including new housing units in the form allocated sites, windfalls and infill, through to new neighbourhoods and sustainable urban extensions.

The draft SPD can be viewed https://coventrycitycouncil.inconsult.uk/designnewresi/consultationHome. Comments are required to be made to the City Council by 17th August 2022.
