Increase in planning fees on the way

Following on from our previous articles in April and July on the government’s proposal to raise planning application fees, it has now been announced that the increase will be imposed by the end of year.

The ability for all English councils to raise planning application fees by 20% was originally proposed this summer, but due to the general election it was delayed to a later date.

If you are proposing to submit an application in the near future, it would be prudent to submit rather sooner than later if you want to avoid the increase in fees. Please do not hesitate to contact us should you have any questions
