Commission Launched to Boost Land Supply for Development

TP Editorial Team

The focus will be on identifying the challenges that arise in finding land for new housing and employment in order to meet the targets of the WMCA’s strategic economic plan, recognising what is currently blocking the delivery of land and understanding how to secure improvements in its supply.

WMCA Lead for Housing and Land, Sean Coughlan, said that it is important to make the best use of available land as the resource is finite. He stated that the Land Commission will provide an opportunity to consider the many aspects which affect the supply and use of land across the West Midlands
