Tyler-Parkes has submitted a full planning application on behalf of Humco Ltd for the development of four new dwellings on a former car park adjacent to Hermes House, Coventry Road, Cubbington.

The scheme proposes two pairs of semi-detached homes, designed to reflect the character of the surrounding residential area. The houses have been carefully designed to meet modern space standards while ensuring they sit comfortably alongside neighbouring properties.
The application follows a period of pre-application engagement with Warwick District Council. Early discussions with planning officers provided helpful guidance, which informed the evolution of the proposals. The submitted design represents the culmination of this collaborative approach between the client, Tyler-Parkes, and the wider project team.

As part of the application, a full suite of supporting technical reports has been provided, including assessments of highways, drainage, ecology, trees, noise, and energy efficiency. These demonstrate that the site can be developed sustainably, with each dwelling benefitting from on-plot parking and electric vehicle charging facilities, and new landscaping to enhance biodiversity.
The site forms part of previously developed land, formerly serving as a car park to Hermes House, which itself is being converted to residential use. Located within the Cubbington Growth Village Envelope, the principle of residential development is supported by local planning policy.
If approved, the proposals will make effective use of brownfield land, contributing new homes in a sustainable village location.
