More New Homes!

We are delighted to have obtained full planning permission for Five Homes (Shirley) Ltd for replacing 2 houses with 7 new houses, near the former Shirley Aquatics site on Stratford Road. The scheme proposes 3 houses to the front of the site with 4 bed houses to the rear. The site sides and backs onto existing housing at Monkspath and to the other side there is the Fountains Care Home - a scheme for which Tyler Parkes also originally obtained planning permission.

The scheme was subject to our detailed pre-application submission to Solihull Council, who were supportive of the principle of a more intensive residential redevelopment of the site, but there were a number of issues to address including urban design, residential amenity, drainage and impact on trees.

We engaged with the Council closely during the pre-application process and during the processing of the planning application to ensure any issues were swiftly dealt with. The planning permission was granted under Solihull Council’s delegated powers. We are currently discharging the conditions on the permission and works hope to start on site in the near future.
