1980s barn gains residential consent

Gail Collins

This 1980s agricultural barn in Lapworth had not been used for a number of years. The adjacent Grade II listed farm buildings had been sold off in the 1990s, and this building was left over.

We got consent under the Class Q of the Permitted Development Rights for its conversion to residential use.

The conversion will result in the creation of a spacious, contemporary four bedroom-house with a large family room, lounge, study and usual facilities. The dwelling will have large areas of full height glazing and a modern timber exterior.
