Micro Pub Permission for Kings Norton

Seb Kouyoumjian

Tyler Parkes has secured planning permission for the conversion of a derelict bank in Kings Norton, Birmingham. The former bank, directly adjacent Kings Norton Station, has lain empty for nearly a decade, presenting an unwelcoming, boarded-up and graffitied shop front on the busy Pershore Road South.

The permission allows our client to change the use of the bank to a micro-pub. Despite the decline of traditional pubs and sports bars, there is a marked increase in demand for places for drinkers to enjoy craft ales and beers. Our application was supported by visuals of the proposed premises.

This approval will not only revitalise the appearance of the street scene, it will also provide a new venue for locals to enjoy.
