Birmingham City Council has begun an 8-week public consultation on the Development Management in Birmingham document (DMB). The DMB will provide detailed policies to help determine planning applications and development decisions across the whole City complementing the Birmingham Development Plan, which was adopted in 2017. The document contains 15 detailed draft policies to guide and support new development covering a wide range of planning and development issues which will replace the remaining saved 2005 Birmingham Unitary Development Plan policies which have now become outdated.

The Council is inviting comments as part of a formal public consultation which will be taken into account and help shape the next stage in the preparation of the DPD. The consultation closes on Friday 29th March 2019.

You can find out more about the consultation and view the document on the Council’s website
