Extension approved to Hotel in Cotswold AONB

TP Editorial Team

Cotswold District Council has granted planning permission for a garden room extension to the attractive Dormy House Hotel in the Cotswolds AONB. We submitted the application on behalf of our clients Farncombe Estate Holdings Ltd.

The detailed scheme proposes a single-storey extension to the existing garden room which is located at the north-eastern end of the Hotel. Dormy House Hotel comprises a luxury hotel, two fine dining restaurants and an impressive spa facility.

The proposed extension would follow the existing building line of the garden room increasing its size by approximately 74 sqm and reusing the existing door frames, windows and glassed panels. It would be single-storey in height and continue the existing design, complementing the adjacent hotel building and sensitive location within the Cotswold AONB. The attractive scheme was designed by ARB Architects Ltd.

The proposal would enhance the guest experience which is crucial to the continued economic development of the business and the Council agreed that the scheme was in accordance with adopted planning policies. Planning permission was granted without delay.
