Birmingham City Council is currently conducting a ‘Call for Sites’ to try to identify sites suitable for residential development now and in the future.

An initial deadline of 31st August 2018 has been given to submit details of suitable sites for consideration in the 2018 Strategic Housing Land Availability Assessment (SHLAA) review. This is an evidence document which will help to inform the plan-making site allocation process. Despite the deadline, the Council has confirmed that sites can be submitted at any time, although those put forward after 31st August may not be included in the current SHLAA review.

If you have any sites within Birmingham City Council local authority area that you consider might be suitable for residential development in the next 15 years we recommend submitting details for assessment in the SHLAA as soon as possible.

If you have any questions regarding the ‘Call for Sites’ or require assistance in making a submission, please do not hesitate to contact us.
