Warwick consults on Modification to CIL Draft Charging Schedule

Warwick District Council is currently consulting on Modifications to the Draft Charging Schedule for the Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) until Friday 16th June 2017.

These modifications have been put forward by the Council to address issues arising from the Draft Charging Schedule consultation that took place between 16th January and 20th February 2017 and to address concerns raised by the Inspector during the Examination.

Representations received will be made available to the Inspector for his consideration prior to the hearings which will commence on 6th July 2017.

The Draft CIL Charging Schedule currently proposes charges for residential development from £70 in Zone A (covering Warwick, East of Leamington and ‘Lower Value Rural Areas’), £140 in Zone C (Kenilworth) and £195 in Zone B and D (much of Leamington, Whitnash and ‘High Value Rural Areas’). Charges will also apply for retail and superstores, student accommodation and strategic residential development.
