Earlswood Green Belt Appeal Success

On behalf of our clients, Kingswood Properties (West Midlands) Ltd., Tyler Parkes has won an appeal to the Planning Inspectorate against a decision by Stratford-on-Avon District Council to impose a condition on a planning permission for residential development which removed the ‘permitted development rights’ for various extensions and alterations to the approved houses. The site lies in Valley Road, Earlswood, in the Green Belt. We obtained planning permission for three detached dwellings in July 2018. Our argument for the original houses, which was accepted by the Council, was that the proposal comprised limited infilling within the built-up area of the settlement and that there was therefo

Green Belt Medical Centre: Solihull Council’s Approval Ratified

Further to our previous article in February 2019, Tyler Parkes is pleased to confirm that Solihull Council has now formally granted planning permission for the erection of a new 2,800 sq.m. Medical Centre located within the Green Belt to the east of Marston Green, on behalf of Marston Medical Ltd. As previously reported, this is an exciting £8M project, which will deliver a brand new Medical Centre offering a wide range of medical services and facilities, in-line with the Government’s drive to ease pressure and demand upon the major hospitals. This will be of significant benefit to existing and future patients as Marston Green continues to grow on the back of significant levels of new house

Birmingham: Permission for Six Large Homes in Back Gardens

We have designed and secured planning permission for the construction of six new homes in place of a dilapidated bungalow and the out-sized rear gardens of two other houses. The site is located behind two detached houses on Hamstead Hill, Birmingham. The client initially approached our Architectural Team having already received permission on the site for houses in an ultra-modern style. These were deemed too complicated to build, and did not receive any interest when marketed to developers. We were tasked with persuading Birmingham City Council to accept a redesign of the development, with the houses built in a more traditional style. © Tyler Parkes Partnership Ltd Even though the previous a
