Extension approved to Hotel in Cotswold AONB

Cotswold District Council has granted planning permission for a garden room extension to the attractive Dormy House Hotel in the Cotswolds AONB. We submitted the application on behalf of our clients Farncombe Estate Holdings Ltd. The detailed scheme proposes a single-storey extension to the existing garden room which is located at the north-eastern end of the Hotel. Dormy House Hotel comprises a luxury hotel, two fine dining restaurants and an impressive spa facility. The proposed extension would follow the existing building line of the garden room increasing its size by approximately 74 sqm and reusing the existing door frames, windows and glassed panels. It would be single-storey in height

New Learning Support Facility opens at Alderbrook School

Glenda Parkes, Planning Director at Tyler Parkes, was delighted to be invited to attend the official opening of the new Learning Support Facility at Alderbrook School, Solihull. Glenda was most impressed with the quality of the build and the excellent standard of accommodation that had been achieved. The Head Teacher Dr. Janette Smith is delighted with the result and the great benefit that will be derived by the students

South Worcestershire Development Plan Consultation

The three councils forming South Worcestershire – Malvern Hills, Wychavon and Worcester City - have announced the latest stage in the South Worcestershire Development Plan (SWDP) Review. Consultation on the initial Issues and Options Stage is now open for public comment and will run until 17th December. Further public consultations will be carried out in the coming months/years, but as planning policy is a ‘front-loaded’ process it is important that any comments are submitted in the timescale of this current consultation to most effectively influence matters such as how much development to direct where. Once adopted the SWDP will cover the period 2016 – 2041 and will show where new housing,
