Senior Planning Consultant
Alan joined Tyler Parkes in 2021 from his previous role as Planning Development & Enforcement Team Leader at Worcester City Council. He brings with him diverse and extensive planning experience from the public sector, particularly in development management, to manage and deliver a variety of projects. During his time in local government, Alan managed planning, development and enforcement teams and has dealt with numerous high-profile strategic housing and commercial applications, including major mixed-use redevelopment projects, large scale residential and urban extension schemes and was the lead Officer at Planning Committees.
He has a thorough understanding of planning authority processes and procedures with attention to detail in all professional matters, providing consistently high-quality professional advice on planning and related matters.
Outside of work, Alan enjoys literature, live music, and a variety of sports including cycling, swimming, and skiing, and is known to still even manage to play football.
