Gail has gained considerable development management and planning policy experience over many years in planning practice, dealing with a wide range of planning matters. Prior to her move to Tyler Parkes, she worked in local government in the West and East Midlands and in the Southeast, including as the lead Officer at Planning Committees. She has also worked in Mozambique as a Governmental Advisor to the Ministry of Coordination of Environmental Affairs.
Gail was appointed Director at Tyler Parkes in 2015. Acting for a wide variety of private sector Clients on projects ranging from major residential schemes to mixed-use redevelopments and changes of use, Gail has experience of dealing with all manner of planning issues, including urban, AONB, Green Belt and heritage asset developments, as well as enforcement, Section 106 Agreements, and Lawful Development Certificates. She has also undertaken a considerable amount of public sector work, including for the West Midlands Police, NHS Trusts and various Councils in the Midlands. She is a confident and successful advocate at Planning Committees and Appeals.
A qualified manager, Gail is a key member of the Tyler-Parkes management team, collaboratively ensuring delivery of projects in a timely manner, developing staff and systems.
Outside of work, Gail likes to keep busy, and as well as community activities, she also pursues various physically challenging activities to limited success such as skiing, running, Pilates, and weight training.
