Alan Tyler is a co-founder of Tyler Parkes alongside Glenda Parkes. He has extensive architectural experience working for developers as well as companies in the private and public sector. He directs the architectural side of the business and in addition has the advantage of also being a chartered town planner. As such Alan sees the development world from both professional perspectives.
Alan likes finding solutions to challenging sites and planning obstacles, finding innovative ways to overcome potential constraints. He has successfully delivered large complex multi-disciplinary projects as well as smaller schemes for individuals. On many occasions, Alan has successfully brought forward development proposals on sites with a history of unsuccessful planning applications or enforcement action.
A number of the Practice’s schemes have been nominated for awards or commended by Planning or Conservation Committees.
In his spare time, Alan enjoys drawing, painting and (trying) to play the piano.
